Yes, there are certain foods that can help people gain weight, but they sure aren’t the usual suspects! As surprising as it sounds, you should stay far away from fast foods, candies, and doughnuts if you’re an underweight person trying to gain weight.

If you had a different body type these might be just the types of foods that could head straight for your hips! However, you most likely don’t have that body type, and you would hate to see what doughnuts will do to your insides anyway!

Instead of trying to eat high calorie yet nutritionally void foods, I suggest you focus on eating healthy foods that will provide your body with the nutrients it needs. After all, doesn’t it make sense that your body is more likely to do what you want it to do if you give it what it needs?
